The case of Peter Ridd at James Cook University is a clear example of the Lysenkoist character of the global warming movement in academia. He was fired for proving that his colleagues were exaggerating the degradation of the Great Barrier Reef. On the grounds that this was 'uncollegial'. A judge has decided that academic freedom trumps being polite to liars, and found for Peter on all counts.
